Edit the Installation Type
Often times when installations are created through discovery, you aren't able to detect the type of appliance, software, or keystore the certificate is being used on, so by default a "Basic" installation is created. As you learn about your inventory, you can update the installation type to something more accurate that also adds support for automatic installation of the certificate.
IMPORTANT You must have the Write, Create, and Delete permissions in order to complete this task.
Edit the installation type for basic installations
- From the TLS Protect menu bar, click Inventory > Certificates.

If you know the certificate that has the Basic installation you want to change, locate it and open it.
You can use the Installation Type filter in the Common Filters filter group to help you find Basic installation types.
- Locate the certificate with the installation you want to edit.
- Either expand the installations by clicking the down arrow next to the number of installations, or open the certificate details page and click Installations in the side bar.
- Locate the installation that is Basic, and in the action button click Set Installation Type.
- From the Installation Type drop-down, click the new installation type, and then click Save.
NOTE If the type is not Basic, you can't change an installation type unless you delete the installation and create it again.
