Replace a certificate installation

You may find that you need to replace a certificate on a device with a different certificate, essentially changing the certificate associated with the installation.

NOTE  You must have view and write permissions to the installation to replace a certificate. You must also have view and write OR view and associate permissions to the new certificate that you want to replace with.

To replace a certificate installation

  1. From the TLS Protect menu bar, click Inventory Certificates.
  2. Using the Filters, locate the old certificate that you want to replace, and then click the certificate name to open the certificate details.
  3. Click Installations in the side bar.
  4. Locate the device the certificate is currently installed on, then in the quick action button, click the down arrow, and then click Replace.
  5. In the Replace Certificate dialog box, search for the new certificate to associate with this device.
  6. Click the Replace button.
  7. Click Install.

    IMPORTANT  If you don't Install, the certificate will be replaced only in inventory but will not be replaced on the device.

When the certificate details window refreshes, you'll see the new certificate, and you can see new the device installation.
