Installing CodeSign Protect

Venafi CodeSign Protect consists of three separate installable components:

• Trust Protection Platform with Venafi CodeSign Protect components. At least one Trust Protection Platform server must be installed with the Venafi CodeSign Protect components. See Install Trust Protection Platform with CodeSign Protect.
• Code Signing Clients. The CSP/KSP or PKCS#11 driver must be installed on any workstation from which code will be signed using keys managed by Trust Protection Platform. See Install CodeSign Protect Clients on signing workstations.
• Venafi CodeSign Protect MMC Snap-in. This is an optional MMC snap-in which allows Code Signing Administrators to manage their global code signing environment without having to sign in to the Trust Protection Platform server. All of the capability included in the snap-in is also included in the Venafi Configuration Console on the Trust Protection Platform server.
