Approvals
The Approvals screen allows you to see a list of items waiting for your approval.
IMPORTANT Starting in 20.2, new approvals features are being migrated to this new Approvals screen. Eventually, you will be able to see workflow approvals, key approvals, and more from this screen. For now, however, you can only see team approval requests on this screen.
Generally, you'll only have a few items waiting to be approved at once, so you will be able to browse through the list of pending approvals fairly quickly. The approvals list contains the following fields:
Field | Description |
---|---|
Approval Type | Tells you what type of approval is being requested. In 25.1, the only type of approval on this screen is Team Approval. |
Description | Provides details about who made the request (display name) and any additional information. |
Initiated By | Shows the display name of the user who made the request. Click their name to view their profile. |
Team | Which team will be affected by the request. |
Initiated At | The time the request was created. |
Approval Status | The current status of the approval. |
To filter the approval list
You may find it easier to locate a specific request by filtering for it.
- Click your user icon, then click Approvals.
-
Use the filters on the left to narrow the displayed list of approvals. The filters are:
- Approval Type. This will let you restrict by the Approval Type column. (In 25.1, the only type of approval on this screen is Team Member Approval).
- Initiated at. Use this to select a date range when the approval request was created.
To take action on an approval request
- Click your user icon, then click Approvals.
- Locate the approval request.
- Click Approve / Reject.
- [Optional] Provide comments on your action. This is especially useful if you are rejecting the approval request, as your comments will be sent via email to the requester. Adding a comment about your decision can help the requester know what they can do, if anything, to improve their request.
- Click Approve or Reject.
