Server Agent—Introduction

The agent is a client/server application that secures and protects certificates and SSH keys on any supported system in your network. This feature provides a method for discovering and managing trust assets (keys and certificates).

The Trust Protection Platform server manages the exchange of information between itself and the systems where the client agents are installed and configured. After you configure Trust Protection Platform for agent registration, you then install the client on systems in your network.

The agent’s client application performs scheduled scans of designated keystores or directories to find encryption assets on the local system. The agent only passes keys from keystores or from [path]/authorized_keys folders to TLS Protect. If those folders are missing from a given file path, the key information will not appear in TLS Protect.

This guide provides all of the information you'll need to configure the Server Agent and deploy it on supported systems in your network.
