PKCS#12 configuration
Public Key Cryptography Standard #12 (PKCS#12) is the Personal Information Exchange Syntax Standard that defines the file format used to store private keys with accompanying public key certificates and protect the files with a password-based symmetric key.
In Venafi Trust Protection Platform™, the PKCS#12 application object is used to provision PKCS#12 certificates to a PFX file. This section provides the information you need to manage PKCS#12 certificates.
Trust Protection Platform’s PKCS#12 driver supports only the Linux Shell and SFTP security setting in the latest version of COPSSH. It does not support the Linux Shell, Windows Shell, and SFTP Only security settings.
The PKCS#12 application driver also supports provisioning certificates to a PKCS#12 trust store.
NOTE For information about the trust store, see About creating and configuring trust stores.
