Protecting server platforms and keystores

Application objects represent the server platforms or keystores where Venafi Trust Protection Platform™ manages certificates and private keys. Depending on the level of certificate management configured on the certificate—monitoring, enrollment, or provisioning—Trust Protection Platform can request, enroll, renew, install, and validate the certificate on the application object’s associated platform or keystore.

Trust Protection Platform can also perform certificate and key management functions on managed applications, including generating, extracting, or pushing the private key associated with a managed certificate to the application object’s associated platform or keystore.
