SMTP outbound server configuration

SMTP channels need to communicate with an external SMTP server so logs can be delivered as email messages. The outbound SMTP server configuration is found in VCC in the Connections node.

For specific steps on adding SMTP server connection information so the SMTP channels can delver notifications, see Setting up SMTP settings for outbound email connections.

Until the outbound SMTP server settings are configured for the first time, SMTP channels are disabled. Venafi Platform automatically performs a one-time process to enable the SMTP channels as soon as the outbound SMTP server settings are first set up.
