Configuring expiration event intervals

You can define the intervals at which Trust Protection Platform generates expiration events for certificates, symmetric keys, and SSH keys at the object level in individual Certificate, SSH key, or Symmetric Key objects; or you can manage the expiration event intervals via policy.

The recipients and delivery method (email, SNMP trap, etc.) for expiration notifications are defined in notification and channel objects. By default, Trust Protection Platform provides default notification rules for expiration events. You can see these rules in Venafi Configuration Console (VCC), or in the Tools MMC Snap-in collection.
