Assigning permissions to an object

To assign or modify permissions, your own account must have the View, Admin, and Write permissions for the target object.

To assign permissions to a user or group

  1. In the web console, navigate to the specific object or folder you want to grant access to.
  2. Open the object and select the Permissions tab.
  3. Click Add.
  4. In the search field, type the name of the user or group you want to grant access to, and click the Search icon to retrieve the identity from your connected directories.
  5. Select the user or group from the results to add them to the permissions list.
  6. In the permissions list, select the checkboxes for the specific rights you want to grant this identity. Common permissions include:
    • View: The user can see that the object exists in the tree.
    • Read: The user can view the object's attributes and details.
    • Write: The user can edit and modify the object's attributes.
    • Create: The user can create new subordinate objects within this folder.
    • Delete: The user can delete the object.
  7. Click Save (or Apply) to apply the new permissions.
