Prioritizing network discovery jobs

For network discovery jobs that are running at the same time (either through scheduling or when run manually) you can configure Trust Protection Platform to run them according to the priority order you specify.

DID YOU KNOW?  Network Discovery jobs are the only job types that can be prioritized. This is because Network Discovery jobs can sometimes span multiple days on a single run, and other job types are designed to be completed much faster, typically within a few minutes or hours.

To prioritize the order in which your discovery jobs should run

  1. From the TLS Protect menu bar, click Configuration > Jobs.

  2. Click Change Job Priority.

The list of job is filtered to the type of jobs that can be prioritized, which is Network Discovery jobs.

  3. Drag a job name to move it up or down in the list .

The Priority column does not update until you save your work, so that you can see the original priority order before you made your changes.

  4. When you are finished prioritizing, click Done.

The priority order of Network Discovery jobs is updated and can be seen in the Jobs list.
