Microsoft Active Directory Certificate Services (ADCS) - Enterprise and Standalone

The following section reviews the steps required to set up the Microsoft Active Directory Certificate Services (ADCS) - Enterprise and Standalone CA Template object so that Venafi Trust Protection Platform™ can initiate and auto-enroll new or to-be-renewed certificate and key generation requests with the Microsoft CA driver.

Trust Protection Platform supports all CAs included with supported Windows Server operating systems. For information on the supported Windows Server operating systems, see Supported integrations with Trust Protection Platform.

IMPORTANT To use a Microsoft Active Directory Certificate Services (ADCS) - Enterprise and Standalone CA, you must install Microsoft CA Support and configure the user account required to access the Microsoft Active Directory Certificate Services (ADCS) - Enterprise and Standalone CA.

The user account used to access the Microsoft CA must have Read, Issue and Manage Certificates, and Request Certificates permissions to the Microsoft CA server.
