Starting Venafi Trust Protection Platform services

When you complete the Trust Protection Platform installation, you must reboot your server or manually start Venafi Trust Protection Platform and Venafi Log Server services.

NOTE  When you reboot your server after installation, the Venafi Log server and Venafi Trust Protection Platform services start automatically.

You can start (and stop) Venafi services using the Venafi Configuration Console (VCC).

The Venafi Log Server service provides logging and notification services. The Venafi Trust Protection Platform service loads all service modules and provides a framework for managing, monitoring, and validation.

To start Venafi Trust Protection Platform services manually using VCC

  1. On the application server where you've installed Trust Protection Platform, open VCC.
  2. In the left panel, click the Product node.
  3. In the center panel, right-click on Venafi Platform and click Start.
  4. Right-click on Logging and click Start.
