Start the console in Query mode
To minimize the amount of data the administration console has to pull from the database each time it loads or refreshes the Policy tree, you can configure the administration console to launch in query mode rather than browse mode. You can then enter a query for a specific object, object class, or object attribute. The query results include only the objects for which the administrator has View permissions. This option is designed especially for organizations with large Policy trees.
To configure the classic policy tree to launch in Query mode specific to user
-
From the TLS Protect menu bar, click Classic Policy Tree.
- From the Policy tree menu, click Show All.
- Check the box next to Support Large Object Trees.
From now on, for the specific user, the classic policy tree will open the Policy tree in browse mode. No objects display in the tree until after you enter a search query.
To configure system-wide account settings to launch in Query mode
Administrators can force all users' administration consoles to launch in Query mode by enabling the Support large object trees option in the root folder of the Platforms tree (Platforms tab, Settings sub-tab, Global Options group).
The global Support Large Object Trees setting is also available thru the admin console by clicking the account icon > Preferences > TLS Protect & Client Protect. See Preferences.
