Customizing the product menus
As a user, you can customize the menus to only show the features you use for supported products. If you are a master administrator, you have the ability to set the default menus a user sees when they log in.
This is not a security feature. It is a convenience feature to make the product easier to use, however it does nothing to restrict users from accessing any features in the product if they enter the correct URLs. In addition, even if an admin turns off a menu item for users, any user can configure their own settings and override the defaults set by the administrator.
To customize product menus for your own account

From the Product Switcher on the top menu, click the product whose menu you want to customize.
TIP This step is important because the Navigation Menu settings on Preferences only apply to the product you are currently in. You will need to repeat this process for each product whose menu you want to customize.

From the User menu, click Preferences.

Click Navigation Menu.
A modal window appears with the Mine tab selected.

Use the switches to enable (switch on right) or disable (switch on left) menu items.

Use the down button to expand a top-level menu.

Click the flag icon to set the default landing page (the page you see when you open that product).
- Click Save.
If you changed your default landing page, that setting will take effect the next time you log in.
If you want to go back to the default settings for this product, click Restore Defaults.
Repeat these steps for other products, if desired.
To customize default product menus settings for non-admins

From the Product Switcher on the top menu, click the product whose menu you want to customize.

From the User menu, click Preferences.

Click Navigation Menu.
A modal window appears with the Mine tab selected. This is where you would configure settings for your own account.

Click Everyone Else.

Use the switches to enable (switch on right) or disable (switch on left) menu items.

Use the down button to expand a top-level menu.

Click the flag icon to set the default landing page (the page your users see when they open that product).
- Click Save.
To reset the default settings provided by Venafi for the product, click Restore Defaults.
Repeat these steps for other supported products, if desired.
