Pushing a certificate and private key to an application
You can push an application object’s associated certificate and private key to the application using Push button.
NOTE To push a certificate and private key to an application, you must have the Write permission to the application object and either Write or both Associate and Read permissions to the certificate object.
Trust Protection Platform does not process a push operation unless the following conditions are met:
- The certificate is available in the Trust Protection Platform database
- The certificate’s management type is Provisioning
- The certificate is not currently being processed
- You have the correct permissions to the application object and the associated certificate object
- You must have Write permissions to the current Application object
IMPORTANT If the certificate and private key already exist on the target server, the push operation replaces the existing certificate and private key.
To push a certificate or private key to an application from the Application object
- From the TLS Protect menu bar, click Policy Tree.
- In the Policy tree, select the Application object to which you are going to push the certificate and private key.
- On the application object's Settings tab, click Push.
The application object associated with the certificate must be correctly configured to enable Trust Protection Platform to provision the certificate to the application.
