Manually stopping and starting the log server service

The Venafi log server service manages event logging and notifications. If you need to stop, start, or restart the log server service, use the following instructions.

If the log service is running, and you want to restart it

1. In Venafi Configuration Console, open the Product node.

2. Click the Logging component in the middle panel.

3. Click the Restart action.

   The service will stop, then restart. The process is complete when you see the service change back to Running.

To manually stop the log server service

1. In Venafi Configuration Console, open the Product node.
2. Click the Logging component in the middle panel.

3. Click the Stop action.

   This sets the status to Stopped.

To manually start the log server service

1. In Venafi Configuration Console, open the Product node.

2. Click the Logging component in the middle panel

3. Click the Start action in the right panel.

   This sets the status to Running.
