Customizing email notifications

You can customize the email notifications that are sent to individuals in your company. You can even change the look, feel, and branding of your email notifications.

Email notifications are managed through the SMTP channels in Venafi Configuration Console (VCC).

The actual messages that are delivered are a combination of e-mail templates, SMTP channel settings, and notification rules. When an event fires, if there is a matching notification rule, then the SMTP channel connected to that notification rule is triggered. The SMTP channel is linked to an email template, which contains the images and style settings used to send the message.
